So the “beta” site has been live for a few weeks now. This downtime (neglect) has made me realize how much cooler it can still get. Big things coming. BIG.

Another big thing:  the logo for my coming soon design-networking site (Upstate Design Collective) is done. And here it is:

Why pink? Why not. And for the rest of the world who wouldn’t need more context than just “UP”:

While we’re currently gathering members via LinkedIn and word of mouth the true form of the collective will be through its own website (in the works). It’ll launch by 2009 and be kept insanely simple: showcase of work from designers across upstate New York and designer dialogue a la blog.

There is such an abundance of great work coming out of places other than New York City (even if the work is for a NYC-based client) that it is time we got together to pat backs. Digitally.

As for this blog re-design: in good time. Likely before the new front-page (sursly.com) updates but after the UDC site.
