Moms Is Gone: Weekend Madness
That’s right
Meg is in Brooklyn so I gave Jonah a few Pixie Stixâ„¢ and Frappuccinosâ„¢, sat him in front of Elmo and set up a new website/blog. He’ll be fine, we stayed up until 1 to watch infomercials and see what crayons look like on the walls at night.**
This is not my first attempt at such an endeavor. I created my first personal website in college at Digityl.com, where I mostly tried to show off some short films, bad photography, and my fondness for table-based-layouts. I made it a few years on that site – with skills progressing slightly a la Google searches and friends with skillz – until last year when I ditched it and set up Nineteen82.com. That site was created with the sole intention of sharing Jonah photos with my family, putting some wacky stuff on the web, and trying to get a job. Any job. Anywhere.
And it kind of worked. I put some wacky stuff online and did get a job (in web design no less), and ditched the personal website until…now.
But I have never created a personal site as a blahg, or with the intention of regularly posting anything other than photos, let alone details of my life that would otherwise be either a) private or b) boring to anyone other than me.
And here we are. Let’s see how long it lasts.
I give it three weeks. Tops
**Okay, so we had Pierogies with Broccolli, Green Beans (and roasted almonds) and milk, and he went to bed at 7:45pm. Without crayons.
