If I'm not parenting or working, I'm probably taking pictures of people. Some of my non-people photography is available to license on Getty Images while many others are available with a Creative Commons license on Flickr.

When I launched the previous version of sursly.com I designed it based on this font that I created.
My most recent typeface! It originated as crayon on index cards and is beautifully sloppy.

there are so many people out there making incredible things. I don't contribute as often as I'd like because I'm busy packing lunches for a six year old.
I specialize in web, logo and font design (& brand development) in Ithaca, New York. I have freelanced since 2003, when I received a BFA in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts. I spent over one year as a designer for Sharktooth Creative (lots of Flash and print design), then nearly three years with the wonderful AWP, a year and a half as a designer at Ithaca College, and a year with Singlebrook. I take photos of interesting people and places.
I've raised a healthy son. We have fun. I make music. I run races. I take little vacations. I survived a month long trip to India. And I recently began eating meat again for the first time in 6 years.
I would like to try it !
